Faryn Scarlett

Educational Specialist | Child, Family, and School Psychology

Faryn graduated from the University of Denver in 2018 with an Educational Specialist Degree in Child, Family, and School Psychology. With nine years of experience in the school setting, she has worked in both private and public schools across Michigan and Colorado, providing support both virtually and in person.

Passionate about empowering students, Faryn is dedicated to helping children reach their full potential. "Every day, I wake up excited to help students and children of the future. My purpose in life is to support and empower others, and my career allows me to do just that."

  • "I am pleased to write in support of Ms. Scarlett related to her work with the Lansing School District Special Education Department.  This is my fourth year working closely with Ms. Scarlett to schedule the completion of “virtual” special education evaluations. Initially, we worked closely with the Michigan Department of Education to improve compliance with the timely completion of both initial and re-evaluation assessments. She demonstrates considerable intellect and excellent clinical skills. Faryn has consistent positive communication skills with students, parents, colleagues, and special education support staff.  Her written evaluation reports are both clear and concise. In addition, her flexibility with scheduling evaluations and prompt responses to requests for additional testing times demonstrates a high level of motivation."

  • “I have had the distinct pleasure of working remotely with Faryn Scarlett for the past 3 years, and I can confidently say that her dedication, expertise, and compassion have transformed the lives of so many students and families. As a school psychologist, she consistently goes above and beyond to assess and support students’ mental health and academic needs, but also empowers families and educators to recognize their student’s strengths and future potential.

Whether working with parents, special educators or administrators, Faryn always brings a level of professionalism, empathy and insight that is truly remarkable. She is a brilliant listener, an advocate, and a problem-solver who genuinely cares about the well-being of every person she encounters.

Faryn has a rare combination of deep knowledge and authentic warmth that make her a true asset to the educational community. Any school district, individual or family seeking guidance, support and understanding, would be incredibly fortunate to work with her.”
